Updating Plextor Firmware

I've currently running firmware version 1.07 on my Plextor 708A. I have dowloaded firmware version 1.11 (it's an .exe) and now want to update my Plextor.

Is it as simple as double clicking on the exe? I remember reading some cautions about updating firmware in general months ago, but I can't find that info. any more.

I updated several times on 2 or 3 plex's, just by clicking on the .exe's
Now I boot into safe mode(tricky) and do it just to be safe.

i prefer the separate update process where you dowload the f/w and the flasher separetly....

I have two Plextors 716A with the 1.09 f/w version and have had better results that way....
