DvD burning is frustrating me

Hi,

i have a TOSHIBA CD/DVDW SD-R5372 . this dvd writer is used as external writer with my laptop (it is in USB casing).
i try to burn the dvd with Nero express 6.0 .it start writing and after some time it throws error .
sometimes dvd will be return but with cyclic redundancy.
i am not getting what is wrong . i ahve spoiled more than 20 DVD. i am using Sony 4.7 gb DVD+R 8x .
i will appreciat if anyone can help me

Look up **0311## here.

Also, kick everyone else off the machine or shut down the crap that is running - 86% of your 1Gb memory is in use (how?) !!!

Read AND IMPLEMENT the golden rules of burning in my signature. In particular, update firmware to TU56 (see here) and you might consider slowing the burning down from category 5 hurricane speed of 16x (bloody ridiculous) to a more stately 4x.

Yup, upgrade your Nero, firmware and free up some RAM. And with burning as in life, start, crawl, walk, run

The new firmware adds 16X-R support, I'm not familiar with the burner. Have you ever done a successful 16X burn?
