NEC 3500A Doesn't Read DVD MEDIA

Ok
So i have a very annoying problem,
my dvd burner (nec 3500a) cannot read any dvd media no matter if i have burned it or somebody else. its just read the media like its an empty media and then gives me the option to burn, altought the cd is full.
it can read the normal 700mb media but not dvd media. i tried to switch media, didnt help. i tried to burn with another software, didnt help. i tried to update the firmware and i still get the same annoying problem.
This is happening only with data type cds not movies.

What else can i do?

Does it read a store bought DVD OK?

my firmware version is 2.1A
and yes it can read a store bought DVDs

What DVD blanks you got? Maybe they are a bad batch or low quality. Media ID Code, if you can give it.

Also, are the disks CLOSED? How were they burned (what program and techniques)?

i dont think they are low quality
TDK DVD-R 4.7GB 8X and
SILVER LINE DVD-R 4.7G 8X

What are the media IDs? See same link as gave you the firmware.

DVD Decrypter doesnt show any media ID
is there any other tool i can use?
