recommendations for media for my burner???

I've got a Sony DRU-800A (KY06 firmware) and just tried my first burn tonite...wound up with a coaster.

I was using Memorex 16X discs that my GF has been using in her Memorex burner since she bought it and we've yet to have an issue. Her burner is a Memorex DL4Rw. It's not a big deal...I can have her burn the things we need but, when we buy more media, I'd like to make sure that it's compatible with both burners. I wasn't able to find a compatibility listing on Memorex's site and Sony's seemed to indicate that the media we're using (if I'm reading DVD Decrypter right) is supported.

One more quickie question: am I reading correctly that the ProDisc media is supported by Sony's DRU-800A? (that based upon this chart from their website)...I have to admit that my first time 'round, I violated several of your Golden Rules: burned without having the firmware updated, burned too fast (16x), and burned using DVD-Shrink's native Nero support. I don't know whether to give up entirely on this burner/media combination or just try adjusting a few things now that I've gotten Decrypter and a firmware update.

Any other quick insights???

It looks like they like Prodisc 4x. Also look at this.

Just stick with the Verbates and TYs and kiss your burn problems away.
