Staples brand dvd-r media

I've been using verbatims recently with pretty consistent results. My friend told me she uses staples brand dvd-rs and has had great results. I've been hesitant to use cheaper media, however it's tempting since the discs are on sale for $8 for 50. They generally run about $30 for 50 discs....they are actually not that much cheaper, at regular price, than brands like maxell and sony

I thought I read somewhere that IMATION is the black label manufacturer for Staples brand media....cds and dvds.

Are any of you using Staples dvd-rs with good results....burning at 8x or less.

Out of curiosity I borrowed a blank Staples dvd-r from my friend and backed up my new "Cinderella Man" dvd. I just watched it and absolutely no problems whatsoever. However, since the verbatims have worked so well, I'll continue to use that brand or another brand of quality media.
