plus you have the queue burning recently added to imgburn , and the next version should/will have multiple burner queue option, its developing all the time whereas decrypters burn function is now 'as is'Comment

Put it this way... a burned DVD+R DL didn't play when burned with Decrypter, played when burned with ImgBurn and DVD-ROM booktype. So... dunno.CYA Later:

Arrrgghhhhh............
Well not a coaster, but getting some strange results....again.
Used DVD95Copy DL to backup a disc, and during the longggggggg finalization/lead out process...an error message comes up that the disc is buggered
Here's the wierd....the disc will play on my puter, but not my home dvdplayer's...so its not all bad,and I may have caused the malfunction...not DVD95.
Can't give specific's at this point,cause i'm a puter spazz...so don't ask for error messages.
I have used DVD95Copy without error's on previous DL burn's...so I may have done something to cause the issue.
One thing I have noticed with DL burn's is.....it takes a much longer time to finalize/lead out the disc.....so be very patient....do not give up....it sometimes takes over 5 minutes to finalize a DL burn...even while the progress meter says 100% complete....wait for the tray to open,or done message to appear (or in my case "error message").

Perhaps the DVD is not closed?
Open DVD Decrypter: Tools --> Drive --> Close --> Disc
Why do you need a transcoder to do a DL copy? Use this process instead - http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...46&postcount=7

I would like to see a section on DL information because when you do a search DL is ignored because letter length is too short allowing the other terms to determine the results. I spent several hours trying to find a post That I remembered reading at work and wondered through a few hundred posts before giving up. I even read blutach’s posts under the find more posts by blutach. I am new to the DL experimentation and have limitations due to a stroke causing me to forget a lot of what I read, so it gets frustrating when trying to locate information that I have a memory of but need to refer back to the post.

Seems like this dual layer thing is catching on, which I feel is a big mistake,
since it seems to be not quite ready for prime time and requires a fair amount of expertiese. Wouldn't it be a good idea for at least a sticky in this subforum
to steer users in the right direction, media and program wise.Comment

Now thats what i'm talkin bout!
I believe we will all be doing DL's sometime soon, and we need to learn the "tricks".
I've tried Nero (that came with my dl burner) backing up a large movie, and after the box comes up saying that it burned correctly.....the disc is useless!!!!
These are expensive hit or miss lesson's that we need to share.
As I said I have backed up some DL's with success (DVD95),but it seems like almost all of them are having glitches at the layer change's.
I'm pretty sure i'm doing everything correctly, but there are many "bugs" to be smoothed out in these program's.

How to get a good DL burn:
- Ensure firmware is up to date and DMA is on
- Buy Verbatim disks
- Use this procedure to create an ISO
- Use DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn to burn the ISO at 2.4X max
That's it!
We need a forum for that? Maybe a sticky at most.

I haven't used PGcedit to do a DL yet (not after that first failed attempt). I am happy with a 1:1 copy. I think most people would be the same.
I'm a bit confused here too. In my recent tests with the Ritek D01's I used both Decrypter and Imgburn, and didn't see a significant difference. I think there's some difference in setting the layer change point, but what are the other differences?Comment
