was preparing some lasagna, looked over to the pc just to look at nero progress bar and saw momentarily,the buffers fluttering like a bat outta hell. (never happens obviously) it didn't revert to PIO mode either. anyway, it burned for a minute more with buffers stable then i looked back and sure enough, "burn process failed at 4x". Bastard! i took that disc and hucked it across the room nearly clipping Mrs. columbo in the kisser and put another disc in. burned fine (log at bottom). i've burned about 12 so far perfect till this one.
REASON: ritek G05. first time i ever had memorex discs other than CMC MAG. log on top is the fail. Only reason i got these cause they were out of bloody sony's. where the buffers fluttered it created a nice burn ring (within the burn ring). 12 discs in to this, a coaster. hundreds of sony's and CMC's, not 1 skip or ever a coaster.

I love Memorexes, hopefully I will never have a coaster!
so hopefully when I buy more, they will be the good ones
