Please help me with burning DVD's

    Hi All

Please pardon my ignorance but I am so lost that I am about to scream. I am new to bruning dvd's, bought myself an LG gsa-4165b and installed all the software. I have a version of Nero on my computer for making CD's as well.
I have DVD X Copy (never successfully used by the way) and can't seem to make a backup of my daughter's Kronk's New Groove DVD, so I tried DVD Shrink. No luck there either. I have never burned a DVD so I am a true virgin here and really need some help. When DVD Shrink went as far as it was gonna go, it completed the Analysis and I took out the original DVD and put in the blank dvd-r and then up came the error message...I don't know what to do. WHen I tried with the other program X copy...it said something was full...no idea what that was about.
If there is anyone that can help me, please...I would be so grateful.

    Karleen

He is basically saying (showing you) that you have way to many other burning programs installed with Nero (thats what all those drivers are that he listed). You need to get rid of them!

Okay...I see what you mean, how do I get rid of them just uninstall Nero? I just uninstalled Adaptec Easy Cd Creator. Haven't re-booted yet. But if I uninstall Nero, do I just reinstall the bare necessity's? I'm running Win 98 SE by the way...

nero is not the problem, it's all the crud that was accumulated over
time from other programs, and stays after you uninstall them

just relook at my google searchs

              it's all there

just copy and paste each driver name into a google search

              long row to hoe

I'd backup your data, format your drive, buy XP and install that. Then install only the progs you are using.

As for burning try DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn.

I am sure XP's footprint is gonna be an issue(amount of cpu used),
so I would definitely take Blu's advise for burning software.
