ImgBurn is the best for problematic situations.
Nero 7 would be out of the question for a while until they get
the bugs out.
Make an iso and try ImgBurn
Everything will work better if you shut down a lot of the stuff running in the background and free up some memory.

I still need a software to copy just normal cd and storing data. Have been using nero . So does imgburn or dvdd have such functions too ? Dun seem to see them... coz I dun want to have so many software running in my laptop..

NO, you need something to make the image first. From DVD Shrink you could do:Backup → Select backup target → ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter

Yes, you can use DVD Decrypter. No, not the start menu, but some of the startup progs. You need to know what yer doing though. There's an FAQ on this somewhere, written by jmet I think.

I have abt 0.11% unreadable .

Used this dvd- R on shinco player (portable) still stuttering quite often but played with my laptop and philips dvd recorder.. looks fine though I din play throughout..

So it is my burning speed too fast or the portable dvd player has problem ??

Have I successfully burn a dvd ??

Dear blutach..

I have upgraded my nero to the 6.6.0.18

I have the cd-dvd speed check found this :

did a scan disc ( file test not available in this nero) found 96.8% good 2.4% damaged and 0.8% bad.

use the benchmark from nero .. it says unrecovered read error (031100)

Does the above means that It was a poor burn ? Due to wat ? Is that the reason why I cant play in the portable dvd players ?

I have followed most of yr intructions and yr guides already.

Now the last thing I can do is to change the media..rt ?

Pls advise. So sad..
