Mate, media is the FIRST thing to change, not the last. That's what is so sad. So many people persist with their "investment" in junk that isn't even good for last year's XMAS decos because they have them and are somehow determined to burn good on them. What hapens is they just waste time.

Look at media quality in my signature for a categorisation of media.

And anything less than 100% scanned good is a bad burn. Period.

the LG is probably one of the best external burners,
          IEEE 1394 / USB 2.0 External DVD Burner Model GSA-5163D -

I am sure blutach would agree on this model.

blutach agrees on internal burners. blutach thinks externals are risky.

First try to understand brand name is different from media codes,
usually one company makes the media, another puts their name on it.
Verbatim is the safest thing to buy, made in japan(small print/outside package) is another thing to try and find. Try and find some 8x dvd-r,
made in japan or by verbatim.

Oh in fact the first one I burn is using made by verbatim 8x dvd r but from Taiwan .. however , My secondary DMA was not turned one... so that burn is faulty . Will try to buy one now and try again.

                      Thanks u so much !

there are a lot of ways to screw up a burn, a lot of i's to dot and t's to cross.

                          Dear all...

I manage to use the first verbatim dvd-r to burn again.. this time verify with nero cd dvd speed 100% ok

Does it mean I can always use the verbatim dvd -r as my future dvd -r ? Does it mean that there are no problem with the dvd playing in any machine ?

So if next time I change my laptop again but still using the same software nero 6 and dvd shrink and with verbatim dvd-r , plus with all the settings like the DMA .. will nott likely have any problems with my dvd burning ??

My physical memory is only 80mb .. is it because i have internet running at the same time ? Wat happens is my physical memory gets low ?

To all experts .. do u think u can check the below whether are there any more errors ?

Really thank u so much for answering all my questions !
