Are you meaning liteon as scanner and LG as burner?

liteons scan better than they burn, the lg doesn't scan, but burns great disks
fast and reads awful disks slow enough to capture data, what more could you ask for, except 1 drive that did all that.

as an example I am repairing my library, one memorex would even open with shrink in my nec 3520,
it took the LG 31 minutes to rip it with shrink, some real heavy duty error correction,
      cmcmag!

I knew sooner or later I would run into one of these, this memorex ripped in
          6 minutes, whoa nelly.

It's a keeper! I just had to scan it, for Blu!

          It's over 2 yrs old.

          for sure burned on a plex 708 @ 8x

For a two years old disc, and above of all for a RITEK 2 years old disc this is a great scan

But I'm sure that you stored correctly these discs, and this contribute to elong media durability

I have replaced 30 of the memorex's so far, maybe another 40-50 to go.

These disks cost me 50-80C back then, maybe a $1, I chose poorly.

What am I replacing them with? 27C disks

I am betting on these for long term storage

edit: another good memorex disk 1 yr old ricohjpn R01 4x dvd+r
