Okay... I got an HP DVD burner for x-mas and am runnin it with my ol' trusty Creative DVD-Rom.
currently, I'm usin DVD shrink with DVD43, and nero to burn.
I've perused many of the threads here and NONE I have found really explain it properly how to truly burn a DVD on the fly. Obviously using shrink it encodes and saves to disk before Nero burns it. SOME time is saved using DVD43 in the background, but it's still takin between 20-40 mins to rip and burn.
I'd LIKE to simply be able to have shrink encode it and the burn software burn it simultaneously so I dont have to wait for the entire film to encode. Is there a way to do this??
Of course, it's possible in Nero to burn on the fly... BUT, it cant defeat the copy protection or the large file sizes... so no go with that.
I dont care if it's freeware or not... just want an easy solution; put DVD in DVD-ROM, put blank in DVD burner... click and burn.
