i'm currently on a 100 spidle of memorex ritek g05's and have had only one coaster. all the rest turned out perfect. usually the cmc's i buy and have never had a coaster with them. then again i only buy these when they are out of sony.

i don't do that chewy. i stopped a long time ago. i watch my movies in the player. when they play start to finish without a flaw--it's a good burn. my oldest projects still play perfect. someone like me creates and burns 2-3 projects daily, frankly i don't have the time to do that. remember you have "ridiculous standards"

Ritek M04 which is what I have... works fine. Crazylikeafox's Memorexes were probably CMC's. Depending on where you buy them, you might be able to get a partial refund, as long as you don't burn all of the first

Better yet, get Verbatims. They are on sale that ends today from Micro Center for 50 for $15. I tested them... they are MCC004's, much better than Ritek's. I reccomend buying at least one of these, even online (shipping isn't too expensive), because of the price. Normally a 50 pack of Verbatims is 40 bucks. I got 2 50 packs for 30. Notice the huge difference

to warranty memorex, don't even bother going to the store, just go to the website and fill in the TINY form, very basic questions--no need for receipts or product numbers and they will fed ex the amount of faulty discs right to your door in about 10-14 days. ZERO costs/fees. they don't want tho old one or nothing, no questions. that's what i had to do with my failed g05. they sent me a 5 pack too! now if you want to warranty a sony, like when i had a deep scratch in one right out of the spindle, you got to pay shipping---not even worth it, might as well just eat it.

Hmmm I wonder if I could lie about the discs and get free ones... *plots something*

Just kidding, unless it would work! I mean, when you've got Verbatims, why would you need free Memorexes.

Oh yeah, and those discs from Staples are good ones... should be Riteks.

glad to help. you shouldn't have any trouble.

BTW: glad you enjoyed your movie drf , but how you did it from cable is beyond me!

What do you mean from cable... the quality is pretty good, just the TNT logo. **coughs DeLogo filter** Anyway, when I put on DVD I will take the ads out. At least it beats having to wait three years to see the normal R-rated one.

as long as your happy drf. it is in my opinion that you'd fare better though watching a Columbo. you could invite your girlfriend over, she could be Mrs. Columbo....you could put on your father's old trenchcoat and get some of those candy cigars.....make a date out of it.

yep. i'd shake your hand for that
