    Liteon 16x dvd+r/dvd-r burning error!!!

I am new to burning dvd's but so far I haven't had any problems until recently. I have been getting quite a few burning errors and I don't know why. It doesn't matter what movie it is and if I get a burning error, I reburn it and 90% of the time it will burn it the 2nd time around no problems. The first 10-15 dvds I burnt had no errors, but now I can't burn a disc without first getting an error. Recently, I have burnt 13 discs and of those 6 or 7 came up as burning errors. I've attached the latest error message log that I got while burning SWAT. Please help!!!!!

    I am using an old emachines 533id2 with a 533 mhz Celeron, with 192 mb of ram. I am using a Liteon 16x dvd+r/dvd-r (model #: SOHW-1693S14C).

      Disc Manufacturer: RITEKG - 05
      1) those ritek g05's are well known to be problematic. you may have to switch media.

      <LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1693S>Version: KS0A
      2) your firmware is old, update it here to KSOB

Thanks for the links. I went ahead and updated the firmware and I've burnt 5 discs with no errors as of yet. With the media problem, could someone suggest a different media thats compatible with that burner?

Taiyo yuden and Verbatim are the very best

Good are also Sony discs (better if made in Japan), TDK, and Fuji (ONLY made in japan)
