    O1ne 16x DVD-R problem

    Hi,

I have recently purchased some of these blank DVDs however i am having problems.
Firstly the DVD's are detected on the Nero ToolKit, also when i try to burn them they are detected as 1x.
Below is the information about my drive and DVDs.

    LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1693S KS0A (ATA)
    Current Profile: DVD-R

    Disc Information:
    Status: Complete
    Erasable: No
    Sessions: 1
    Free Sectors: 2,297,888
    Free Space: 4,706,074,624 bytes
    Free Time: 510:40:38 (MM:SS:FF)

    Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
    Disc ID: 0@P-!-00
    Book Type: DVD-R
    Part Version: 5
    Disc Size: 120mm
    Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified
    Number of Layers: 1
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
    Linear Density: 0.267 um/bit
    Track Density: 0.74 um/track
First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608
Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 2,495,103
Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 0
Now I dont like the following line:
    Disc ID: 0@P-!-00

Have I been faked? Or is this because my drive doesnt support them. Im not running the latest firmware as the latest KS0B released 14/10/2005.

Can anyone suggest anything, as I have bought quite a few of these DVD's (500) and cant use them.

Edit: Might I add this 1x speed is using Nero, and the DVD itself is seen as unwritable

it's a wildcard, you'll have to try the latest flash, or make a write strategy for it yourself, I'd return the disks if the firmware flash doesn't work
