    DuH!

    I just came accross an interesting post on media longevity, guy with a lot
    of common sense brought up a point I wish I had thought of, the organic
    dye in recordable dvd's is heat sensitive(~120F) and the tops of dvd players
    can get rather warm, especially when layered with burned dvd's!

    Kinda explains the short lifetime in the microwave or on the car dash!

    I read somewhere that the life expectancy of some cheap media/dye is only 2-3 years.

      So that would rule out using a hair dryer or throwing them in the dryer with a fabric sheet to dry them after cleaning then.Or doing this.

        with blanks so cheap we could do some tests
        downunder's could perform the car dash and window sill tests
