        i burned 10 imation CD-r's @8x and they all playback like crap--never bought the dvd's. only cd-r's i've evr had a problem with. right in the fireplace.

          I never had any problems with Imation. I have used their CD's and have Imation DVD+RW's (Ricoh dye).

              Philips, HP and Liteon CD writers
              Ricoh, LG and Pioneer DVD writers

                yep they were burned on a lite-on cd burner. every other cd i've made on there were perfect. just those damn imations. maybe the media is different on the other side of the pond? do you recall the model number of the lite-on?

                      I've used Imations with no prolbem, same with Memorex.
                      Memorex makes a sweet portable CD player, best one out there without the unneccesary features (atrac, etc.) for only $35. Even has a radio!
