    Nero Burning Error.. Please Help!

    I am using the LG hl-dt-st DVDRAM GSA-4120B dvd+ writer, and TDK DVD+R single sided dvd-recordables, 4.7gb, 1-8x.

I have had this error several times when trying to burn files onto the dvds, and I am stuck with what to do.

    Here is my Nero Log:

    old firmware with old burner

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1841 edit

but my big question is why am I getting such weird search results on
your hard drives? Is one of them on an adapter?

    One's pata, one's sata

and almost 800MB memory in use, that's pretty much a record

Ok, so if i run that installation program, that should sort it out, and the DVD's should then work?

Ones ATA and the other SATA, is what I know, could be wrong, but I've never even heard of a PATA.

      Also, 800mb? What's that about?

        Physical memory : 1023MB (1048044kB)
        Free physical memory: 242MB (248256kB)
1023-242= ~800 If your computer was in the hospital I would be calling the chaplin for last rites.

        the Pata is parallel ata.

        sata(serial) ata

you might want to make an intensive trip into add and remove programs
        or turn some stuff off
see the top 3 sticky's in the general pc subforum

if you flash be sure and do it from safe mode as i suspect your secondary
ide driver is not the MS default one

Anytime you have 800 megaBytes worth of programs loaded and you aren't playing a game, something's wrong, and if you are playing a game, you'll
have a hard time burning. That's ram we are talking about, not hard drive space. I only have 512MB and keep well over 300 MB free, course I like to do
              crazy stunts with burning.
