Right now I would do your burns with ImgBurn less hassle.I think the only problem with the update is if you have checked burn with Nero in Dvd Shrink.

Which is better than DVD Shrink, after all (although you need to play around to get the full range of AEC options).

Should I update my Nero 6 or not?

Not sure what version I have, but I bought it November 29 and downloaded it the next day if that helps.

there may be a major bug in the new version or it may just be shrink

if it ain't broke don't fix it

if you open up nero and hit help and about it will tell you which version

Alright, and BTW I don't use Srink to burn with Nero. I make an ISO and the burn with ImgBurn.

That seems to be the safer approach, we just need a mediaplayer that
will open "iso" video files and play directly.

LOL! I use VLC a lot, and it works great. Never tried it on ISO's tho... gotta try it. The thing I love is, if I am downloading a file from a Torrent, and it is halfway done, I can see the first half of it using VLC, whereas normally BitLord's weird extensions prohibit that, and WMP says "the file is in use"

Same goes for IRC, which I download TV episodes from as well.

that's because the file really is in use-- copy & paste the partially completed file to another folder and play it from there. it'll play just as good as VLC in any player. the difference is VLC makes a temp copy automatically

back on topic, I would not reccomend going back from this new version of nero to an earlier one unless you use the clean tool, again time will tell!
