Problem with burning files onto dvds

I've recently had a problem with my burning. It will burn all the files but it will not close the disc, giving an error. This just started occuring recently. I am using Nero. The dvd drive itself has stopped reading some discs too, so i'm not sure if that is related. Below is the burn log file. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to what ben already suggested, please buy some better blank media. PRODISC is cheap and very low quality.

I updated nero but I'm having trouble updating the firmware. I downloaded the file and put it on a floppy disc and have a separate bootable floppy, but I'm confused at what commands I need to enter once Dos loads.


Also,

PRODISC is cheap and very low quality.

How do I tell the cheap stuff from the good stuff?

You really can't by just the package. You have to see what the media ID is of the disc (media ID = the people who actually make the disc).

Good brands to get are "Verbatim" brand or "Taiyo Yuden" brand.

Yeah, the disc is empty. I also noticed that while the discs aren't closing I can still read the files after burning. Is this normal?

Alright, finally figured out the syntax, and it was nothing like what the text file suggested. Here goes nothing, updated firmware, updated nero, time to burn.
