    For what I know you don't need more RAM memory to run more burners. A firewire connection allow a more stable data transfer rate than USB, but if you burn @8-12x max USB2 is enough.

    To see if your connection is enough faster, do a simple test. Open cd-dvd speed and insert a disc on a drive (NOT a blank one; you can use a burned disc or a pressed one, but not a blank disc). Then go to menu Run test --> Burst rate.

    If you obtain a value at least 22 Mb/s, then you should be able to burn @12x for sure, but also @16x (not adviced; i prefer to burn max @12x with my burner in external enclosure).

    Do the same with all your drives, and also with internal ones. This test is a good way to see if IDE channels and USB connections works at correct speed.
