    ridata disks?

well I need some +R's for marginal use, just got a few sony yuden t02's
left, the 16x ridata dvd+r's were consistent, since ritek quality seems to be slipping, I reasoned the 8x media might be better.

going here it looks like they will be ritek R03's

    23C shipped

Chewy, do you prefer the RIDATA 4.7GB 8X DVD+R 100 Pack Cake Box Disc - Retail over Verbatims?

We shall see, I know there won't be quite as good a scans but my last batch of verbatims had several defective disks, I want consistency. I should have cleared the shelves of the MIJ sony's when I could get them for 30C.
when I get the ridata I will burn a few just to test. I had good results from the 16x ridata(low 90's).

                well they are in!
they are as good as the 16x if not better, save for the one disk that was an immediate coaster.
the benq burned a 95 at 8x, the nec 3550 burned a 97, the nec 3520 a 96 and the second disk the lg burned was 96.
that coaster's got me a little puzzled.
all in all they seem like a good deal for 25 cents a disk to the door, the verbs
are probably better, but not that much.
I would rate both as A- media. Of course my standards are ridculous.
