Burnings are not "successful" like the program says...

I have been burning some video files to dvds lately (to watch on my TV) and just recently all my "Successful" burnings are all coasters.
The programs such as ImgBurn and Nero say everything went fine but now all of the sudden, my DVD player cannot read the DVDs. I haven't changed any settings or the blank DVDs I'm using. It was working absolutely fine until around a week ago.

My burner is the Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-107d. I've been burning on 1x and 2x.
Does anyone suspect my burner has bitten the dust?

Have you checked to see if they play on the computer? Can you post a log of one of the burns? Maybe we can spot something.

well the interesting thing is, the DVD will play on my Burner but it will not play on my other normal DVD rom, which is a Pioneer DVD-ROM 120S.

you are using dvd+r's?
got one of those pioneers in a box, they only read

DVD-ROM &Video (Single and Dual Layer), DVD-R, DVD-RW (Not DVD RAM)

but

I've been burning on 1x and 2x

says you are using dvd-r's

we need a burn log to sort it out

Sorry my mistake. I've been burning on 2.4x and yes they are DVD+R's.

try the burns in some different standalones players

Turns out my DVD burner was screwed. I just brought a new one and burned (using the same media) a dvd on 8x without any fault.
