    disc quality

Does a poor quality burn only affect the playback ability of the disc or does it also degraded the data that is on the disc?

This 100pack of verbatims aren't very good....

post a transfer disk graph done with the nec 3550 and one of the burns(bad one)

if you can get a good read off the burn, the data is fine

Verbatim had some issues with 8x media
where were they from(made in ???? & bought in what region of the world)

rescan one of the bad disks(momento burn) at 12x

The verbatims are MCC 003, think that's taiwan
And that's what I noticed with discs that had a 0% quality, I was still able to read the disc

Here is the rescan of memento at 12x, think i'm going to go with Nec burners aren't reliable scanners

        where's the disk transfer graph?

looks good so far, fair batch of verbs, scanning at 12x is good for your drive,
and faster, you've got a good fast reader too!

crosschecking on a benq would confirm

burning some sony MIJ 8x dvd+r @ 8x and scanning would also confirm

        this is rocket science/brain surgery!

let's do this by the book download the new cdspeed

under the benchmark screen/run test/transfer rate

why should those durn rocket scientists have all the fun?

of course it's tough, there's no disk quality for dummies
