    burn prob w/ nero

    I am using dvd decrypter and dvd shrink with nero to burn dvds. I use high quality media and get a good burn sometimes and a fail other times. I keep getting a reset occurred message.
    Help! Here is my log. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been using this for about two years and have gotten great results most of the time...
    Thanks

    1. Turn your DMA on. See link in my signature.
    2. Update your firmware to 2.0e - see here.
    3. Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

    You should only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media. Many thanks to www.pcx.com.au for their supply and great service.

      Les;
      My dma seems to be on (Ultra dma, mode 5), when I try to update the firmware it says that "No updatable drive exists".
      I'm using nero 7 and sony dvd for media.
      I'll try to burn again and see what happens.

        the dma for the sony burner is off, and that's new media and old firmware,
        dma 5 is the hard drive, check the secondary controller

        edit:
        this gets a little hairy, you'll have to use a interim firmware to get to the latest
