    newbie problems burning

I have burnt quite a few disks never had any problem until the last two disks.
The last one I figured there was a scratch on it. But this last one I have no idea, the disk looks really clean, but I guess there could be fine scratches.

In any case this is the error that I got....

W 22:48:24 Retry Failed! - Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format
    E 22:49:34 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Tracking Servo Failure
    I 22:49:34 Synchronising Cache...
I 22:49:34 Cycling Tray after Test Write...
E 22:49:39 Failed to Write Image!
    E 22:49:39 Operation Failed! - Duration: 00:01:48
    I 22:49:39 Average Write Rate: N/A - Maximum Write Rate: N/A

Have you changed you media (blank disks)? Are you using + or - format disks? Please post your burner type. Example: NEC DVD(+)RW ND-6100A The (+) is the format type.

Are you talking about the blank disks little scratches or the produced disk little scratches?

the produced disks having scratches. But it does go through the analysis and encoding fine....only when it tries to burn in decrypter and I put the blank media in.

            What is the media name?
Look at my Link to Golden Rule of Burning. Reduce your burn speed to 4x. See if this works.

Are you using a new spindle of DVDs? DVD resellers change manufacturers all the time. Manufacturers change countries all the time. The appearance is the same but the way it is made has changed. By doing firmware updates, burning software updates, etc., etc.; keeps your computer on top of the "advances" by outside influences. Keep everything up to date reduces the risk of a bad burn!

i tried it again on test mode with a burn rate of 2 and it got up to 60 percent and then quit

it is a new spindle that is true.
Not sure what sort of firmware and updates I should do

I am using shrink and decrypter.

We still don't know what brand of burner you have.
Also do you have ant other burning software running in the background?
