I bought a 50 pk spindle of Sony accucore 8x dvd+r's from walmart (it was their only japanese made media). Using dvd Identifier, I get a code of YUDEN000 T02, but looking at VideoHelp, people are saying these discs are fake. has sony pulled off a scam or what. give me a minute and i'll post the logs from dvdIdentifier and CD-DVD speed
are these taiyo yudens?

On the hub real ty's have a batch code
4x DVD-R = GD000xxx
8x DVD-R = GG000xxx
8x DVD+R = TG000xxx
16x DVD-R = GH000xxx
where xxx are numbers, the higher supposedly most recently made
I found this info. I have only had and used 4x and 8x TY's -R's from supermediastore and the batch codes were there. Not registered Go here and click register to join the Digital Digest Forums
