I have no idea, I know that lately, last week after burn I start leave dvd in after burn for a while then do the scan, the end blank part is not there any more if I leave long enough

No sorry NightTran but all that bad stuff seems to be after the movie. I just played it & skipped through it to the credits, seems to be fine but I have not played it fully.

soup, the transfer test went crazy somewhere before the scan disk showed errors, you have pretty well shown the flaw in burning at 16x, if you had used cdspeed to burn the disk then we would have a graph that showed where the burn screwed up(speed wise) but just guessing, I would say it was past the 12x part. I can burn at 16x with my LG but the results are poor with my best media.

              I 19:19:02 Write Speed: 16x

Well put it this way, even although the movie seems fine, burning at 16X was a one time test but I will give 12X a shot later.

Same iso, same type disc, but different speed.

@ Chewy I will do & post results probably tomorrow.

                        @ chewy
unfortunatly I only have the 1 liteon in this comp, I have a memorex in my other. I have 2 dvd roms my jlms will do scans and such, in this machine the toshiba isn't very hip to anything but a straight read, might be because it is old and tired, who knows? I was thinking of buying new burners and replacing the old dvd roms and keeping my existing burners.
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...

would you call that a good grade B media?
