Burn AVI to DVD Settings

What are the best settings to use to burn a movie from my Mini DV? I have been getting a grainy picture when I play it on my TV from the DVD I make. Thanks for help.

is the original source grainy ? if it is you would have to use a/some filter/s on the video to remove the grain etc.

I use Roxio 8 to capture and burn the video from Mini DV camera.
