I will do the TY03's tomorrow.I really hate the 03's and I don't think I will ever buy them again.I am just going to stick with the TY02's and Verbs from now on I have had great luck with both of them

I am sure TY 03 will burn fine with 1650 but the quality will not be the same as TY 02

I can say one thing it is fun doing the tests.You can learn a lot.What causes that bad of pi failures I have outlined in picture below?Is it the dye

could be dust or small partical on disc before burn or after burn that settle on it

I would not worry if it is focus in one spot, bad blank will go the whole accross

rescan the nec burn with the benq and let's compare

if you dont clean the learning I believe it will bill up the false learning from one to another, I always have them off with TY and Verb I have on with other junky stuff, if one bad disc from TY or Verb it will just be that one disc and not move on to another one

looks like the nec may be showing it's age, has it burned/ripped a lot of disks?

Or was that burn just a lower quality blank?

I would keep an eye on it, but scan with the benq.

Hmm it's not that old I got it 6/14/2006.But I have done a lot of discs.

what about TY 03 burn with 1650 ? that would easy say the NEC is old or not

I have seen burn like that with maxell 02, play fine and last atleast a year ( that is how old it got with me) any media MIJ I hardly have problem usually is my faulse
