Yes that is annoying, lol. At least it wasn't a 99 all the way, then after 4 gigs, it turns into a coaster. Had a few of those with some D11 way back.

Followed steps in this link because I had a hunch Nero was blocking the Lite-On. Now instead of just removing I had a faint memory (don't know if it is necessary for sure) that you had to have something typed in there, so I typed in a drive in my system that I knew couldn't do the scan anyway even if you unblocked it, LG. Opened up Nero CDDVD Speed, clicked on Disc Quality, found out the Start wasn't greyed out & you see the final product in post #648. BTW just in case anybody is interested, the whole story is in this thread if you read from Page #3 Post #33.

Same registry hack required for my Samsung (in the link soup provided), for anyone with one or buying one that is interested.

Thanks for the heads up doctorhardware, appreciated. Boy that was fast, I don't think it was that long ago that I updated it.

Imation 8x DVD+R, burned @4x with Samsung SH-S182D. Typical of poor media IMO, looks good until 4 gig, then look out!

You get what you pay for.

Boy I am really glad I did not buy these blanks, got some from a friend. The last one went in the dumper right from the start & I mean right at the beginning (48).

Just updated firmware from BCGB to BCIB...I was a little disappointed with the initial results of the MCC004's I did six of them and they all were not as good as I would have expected....then I popped in a few TY02's.
