    Lite-on LH-20A1P vKL0G MCC+004

    1st burn with this drive

    Burned at max (16.12X) and scanned at 8X.

    It had 900PIFs before 250 MBs before it settled down

      Burned @ 8x with Benq 1670.My Benq 1650 died and I still had the 1670 on the shelf and I haven't used it since I put in my new PSU so it's basically brand new.I will give the TYG02s a go later on today

        Updated to new firmware for NEC 3550.

        Now NEC 3550 1.07 (Liggy and Dee's version which has bitsetting)

        Scans below burned @8x with NEC 3550 using TYG02 -R media.

                Yeah, Chewy says the NEC is always wacky with PIE, I'm looking more for PIF, high spikes or clusters of PIF.

                Also why I try to scan with Samsung as it reads PIE quite low normally.

                        Found this almost 2 year old backup from before I joined here, so It must have been burned with LG 4160B. Not bad for 2 years and being used a few times.

                        MAXELL 002 1-8x DVD+R.

                          those were all made in japan and a close second to TY in quality

                          and I bet you paid dearly for them, I got a few like those on clearance in jewels

                            I likely did pay through the nose Chewy, back then I was tickled just to do everything successfully,LOL.

                            I think I only bought a 10 pack or something?? (likely in jewels also) That's about how many I can find searching through old backups, and I know I didn't make any coasters.
