Verbatim Dvd+R DL, made in Singapore, MID=MKM 001. Burned @4X with SH-S203B (SB01) & ImgBurn, then scanned @4X with SH-S162L (TS08).

Nope, I missed that one. Verbatim DvD+R DL 2.4X, made In Singapore, MID=MKM 001. Burned @2.4X with SH-S203B (SB01) & ImgBurn, then scanned with SH-S162L (TS08).

the 16x ricoh dvd+r dl disks were a test sample sent to a drive and media reviewer

Lightning says the 203B burns those verb better at 4x, go figure, but when you think about it, it's designed for burning up to 16x on dual layer so 2.4 would have been the least of their worries

On the Verbs, I only had 2 choices, 2.4X or 4X.

Philips Dvd+R DL 8X, made in Taiwan, MID=CMC MAG D04 00. Burned with SH-S203B (SB01) & ImgBurn @4X, (only supported write speed), then scanned with SH-S162L (TS08) @4X.

verbatim should have subbed their dl layer out to tawain instead of india?

if those are consistent then they are as good or better than made in singapore
