Soup,
I downloaded the latest version of Nero CD-DVD speed version 4.7.7.5. I use my pioneer drive to run the speed test, but using the current version I get the error that the drive does not support this feature. So I went back to 4.7.7.0 and have no problems.

the pioneer is known for dual layer burning and other attributes, not for error scanning

afaik, latest versiuons of cdspeed disable error scanning with the pioneers since they are not reliable

your other drive(samsung?) is, but you have to enable them?

Yes it is a samsung, how do you enable the drive to scan the disk. Did not know that, it makes sense now.

That should do the trick for you, but remember & leave HL-DT-ST in there & also take out the comma after it as well as everything else. Trust me on the comma, it matters. The whole thread is the link below, if you want to go through it.

Here is a current burn with the samsung drive, this was done last week. Looks like ok burn.
