limit any usb to 8X, burn speed, disk transfer test, etc

when you exceed that speed, the interface drops the ball and you are measuring/showing
that failure on top of(or mixed with read errors associated with pie/f.

I hope that makes sense

This is the case the LiteON was in, that one is gone but 2 cases coming in tomorrow, maybe they will have Firewire, maybe not.
