try the liteon with a new burn, the object is no C2 errors, nada, none
and a quality score in the 90's

Some people have real old cd's that still read/scan good. Course hardly any burns are even 10 years old.

I hope I'm in the right place. I am trying to backup some of my "copy protected" DVD's. I purchased DVD Replica" on line. I have been able to copy all (4) chapters of a movie, but I can't seem to, then, record this onto a DVD-R. I tried using Nero 6 and it seemed to be working, but when I put the DVD into my home player, it said "no play". Can someone help me out? Thanks

good question, they are Maxell Cd-r music and have Made In Japan Stamped right on them, Not the premium they Sell but more expensive than the MIT ones thay sell. The premium are also MIJ too and 2x as expensive.

Did a few more cd burns and I have come to the conclusion the benQ DQ60 is probably my best burner for CD-r's, but even then I had to slow the speed down in NERO, 16x Seems to work best. May try the NEC at 16 x but I have one doing a great job so....
Oh the liteon didn't do too bad at 16x either. That is 2 different burns with the BenQ.

I'll take the first 2, you can keep the bottom one, those are the kind that I can't get good digital extractions from
