I don't think the problem is the jumping boy anymore since I've tried a bunch of other DVDs since Scarface and they don't seem to be burning correctly.

My firmware is up to date, and my burner is 2 years old. I don't use Nero, however CloneDVD 2 (I tried adjusting the speed and the maximum capacity a bit lower and it still didn't work) says that "Burn Completed Successfully".

In my signature there is a link to check for firmware updates. It goes to the firmware page and you can check for your updates there.

Chewy would tell you that burners need to be replaced about every 2 yrs, I had a memorex (liteon) 2 yrs old, that started giving me problems and new burners have solved the problem. it might be time to think about another burner. are you on a desk top or lap top?
If you use these forums you will not have to face that...
          Long Live Foamy!!!

My burners Nec ND 3550A, Benq DQ60, Liteon SHW P6S, 2 Sony AW_Q170A's (free with my new system) and JLMS XJ-HD S.

            Thanks,

Desktop, yea I guess so. I just updated my firmware a couple of versions, so I'll see if it will give me my 9th coaster.

            Thanks for the help.

Have you tried to use another media, such as Verbatim.

Yes! Thank you so much for all of your help!

I've upgraded my firmware from 303 to 306 and it works perfectly now!

Believe me when I say this, I appreciate it. I was getting sick and tired of all these coasters lying around.

I can't believe how simple it was...

See it was a firmware update! Like I said could be something simple. Live and learn I check for updates periodically as I have had problems just like you and thanks to everyone here I have learned that firmware updates are very important. Even if you buy a new burner it can need new updates before you even take it off the shelf as it was manufactured long before it ever got to the shelf.

Glad you got it figured out finally! We all hate those darn coasters! lol
