    You can take a blank, make a data dvd(test) with cdspeed and then scan, it shows burn strategy or your can burn an iso(same thing) and scan.
    To get started just scan a fresh verb burn. Takes a few trials to get a handle on it.

      Smky, if you look towards the end of the thread with the scans, you will find a couple of Verbatims that I burned, and they are done with the same burner you use.

          O.K. I got the blank verb and did the disc info? Does that need to be posted? I am now creating a data disc. Then is the next process running a disk quality or scan disc, or both?

            if your drive will scan for disk quality, then skip scan disk as it's slow and yields much less information, scan at 8x speed

              It only gives me the options of 7x, 47x, and maximum for speed?
