NEC-6650A Problem?

I am trying to burn data onto a DVD-RW disc using Nero. However it always says "No Seek Complete" then pops up and says "Burn Failed". Anyone know why??

My DVD+-RW drive is a NEC-6650A (That's what it says in my device manager) then I used some problem found in another thread and it said my Firmware version was 1.42

need to do a slow format/full

see you have liggy's bitsett firmware, problem is you can't bitsett dvd-rw

uninstall the sonic software
and run roxizap

Right, i've fully formatted the disc, and downloaded that Roxizap program and ran it then rebooted (as it requests) but still it won't burn data files. However it allows me to burn MP3 files (only). But I want to burn data files (eg; text documents, videos ect..)

It will burn onto a DVD with MP3 files, but not on DVD with other files. As for a CD, I don't have any of them, but I did burn a CD a few months back and that worked (holding CDA files, Mp3 and data files).

Well i'm using Nero 6.6.0.8 - I would have thought it would work properly. The disk i'm using is a Grundig DVD-RW Disc (4.7gb).
