Might be your dvd player...Any DVDshrink backup I put in my xbox does something similar but when I put it in a regular dvd player, it works perfectly...

What is the media/disc brand?
How old is your player? Best guess.

In reauthor mode with shrink you can use the start and end arrows to split a movie into half. This was the fastest way to deal with the Kong, much faster
than any other method that even kept most of the quality. Just make sure to lap the part one and 2 a bit. straight rips no compression. Now dual layer
blanks were another option, but expensive and problematic(technically harder)

It could be your dvd player, burner, firmware, bad media etc etc..
I suggest you do some searching, there are ending posts, tips, guides on this matter. If you can provide some specifics it might be easier to determine the problem.
