Go to Amazon. They sell it there. Many people gave favorable reviews. One guy said he was able to get over 150 cd/dvd's printed on the original ink.

Mikey, some reviewers have said the ink runs or has to dry a lot first and isn't really that permanent. Can you confirm or deny?Husker Nation is Strong!

Thanks Mike! The more I learn about DVD printing, the more likely I will be doing it in the near future.
Next question, do you scan the DVDs or download them from somewhere??Gary D

Sam's Club & WM have the lowest price I've found on a 6-pack of genuine Epson ink at ~$60. I print other stuff, so IDK how many I'd get if I only printed discs, but I'd guess 150-200 would be a reasonable expectation. I spray mine within minutes of printing, and they never smear. I scan originals when I can at 600dpi, or dl from CDCovers.cc when I can't scan. They store them at fairly low res (by my standards), so I try to avoid them. Then there's the issue of all the POPUPS on that site... But I have uploaded several covers there. There used to be a MUCH better site, but it's down now.Last edited by Steve83; 24 Jul 2006, 11:33 PM.Comment

Be very wary of 'cheap' inks. I bought a set of 'Genuine' Epson inks for my R800, I'd normally pay £80 a set ($140 approx) I got these off E-Bay for £70. I had loads of problems with them and they turned out to be fakes but you'd need to be an expert to be able to tell. I contacted Epson and they explained how to tell the difference. To be fair they replaced my cartridges one for one which they had no obligation to do.
Obviously I'd never buy anyhting like that again off e-bayPart of my DVD collection

To Gary D, may I suggest taking a look at the Epson RX700 if you don't already have a scanner, there's one build in it. It's cost more than the R220 but I'm very happy with it. I was talking with a sale person at Fry's. He flat out said that these printer companies have lowered their prices because they know there going to make it back with their ink sales. To Frank C, thanks for the warning. I was considering buying those compatible cartridges, but will stick to originals only.Comment

I bought the R340 today. Same as the 220 except you have a built-in lcd screen and media slots and there is an instant rebate on it right now so it's only $30 more than the 220. And of course, it prints directly to CD/DVD. Can't wait to fiddle around with it tonight!Husker Nation is Strong!

I have both the R800 and the R340 I cannot fault either.
I use the R800 mainly for printing Car Window Stickers, it uses pigmented inks which don't fade, I have some printed about 18 months to 2 years ago they are stuck in a window facing south ( max time in the sun ) no fading so far.
Because the inks are expensive ( here in the UK ) I purchased the 340 which uses dye inks which would fade is left in the sun but seem OK on disks and the inks are much cheaper. mainly used on homevideo DVDs which are kept in cases in a bookcase away form direct sun light and safe.
Printing family photos on the R340 , results excellent.
This is just my opinion for what it's worth . I have owned 4 EPSON printers and would recomend them for their quality output but the inks are costly.Part of my DVD collection
