Yep. Just printed my first dvd. The borders were slightly off. Probably not even enough for the lay person to notice, but I noticed. I'm sure with practice I will get it down. Wow! This beats labels hands down! I can't believe I haven't come across this until now. I kinda needed a new photo/dvd printer anyway so this was a perfect buy for me. Thanks again for everyone's input.

I'm still pretty p!$$3d at Epson for that BS programming in their printers that tells you you're out of ink when you still have plenty, but they're paying off and no one else makes a printer that will do direct-to-disk at a comparable price.Comment

Does that mean I should let it go a while longer even tho it's telling me to replace cartridges?Husker Nation is Strong!

I keep printing until I get streaks, then change the cartridge & reprint that page. It only costs you a piece of paper that way. I can usually get 50-100 pages after the FIRST warning.Comment

Believe it or not I read the manual. But I have a question. I assume the inner diameter settings refers to whether or not it will print the center ring if there is an image that runs all the way to the middle? If so, has anyone figured out a custom setting that would work for backing up commercial made DVD's? so the inner circle prints?
edit: Nevermind. Looks like the tracer moves when you adjust the settings so you can tell where the inner circle ends up. The answer is that you should move it all the way to the smallest it will go which is about 18 mm.Last edited by Huskerfan; 28 Jul 2006, 03:51 AM.Husker Nation is Strong!

Actually, you should measure the printable area on your blanks, and set the area in the program for a slight overprint. Printing all the way to 18mm on a 43mm (non-hub) disk is a waste of ink, just like on a 20mm disk. Round the inner dia. down; the outer up.Comment
