was thinking of buying an external burning drive but the ones ive seen say they can write to + - dual layer rw discs my question is will they also write to +-r 4.7 discs or is there different ones for this ?....

it should be, you could buy internal plus the external encloser incase you get bore later and want to put it in

get an internal dvd burner, external is only good for laptops or where you need to share between 2 computers.

2 internals for the price of an external and internals are faster
