      Fyi

I used the external Plextor 716A for this very unscientific test. I wanted to see the difference burning with Folding@Home on & off. I know there are a whole pile of variables but I tried to keep everything pretty much the same, disc, burner & burning program. The first is done with Folding@Home on & as you can see it turned out well "good".

So in conclusion I will be burning with Folding@Home turned off but it will go right back on again after I am done.

Sorry you have to clarify. Are you asking me to take my best burn with the Plextor & scan through the Samsung with Nero CD-DVD speed? Transfer Rate Test set @4X? Haven't had a coffee yet, so might be garbled. You know the Plextor burns didn't show up too well before on CD-DVD speed? Just tell me what you need & it will get done. Gonna grab a coffee now, so I am ready (LOL).

well dee's model is slighty different and she wouldn't use it to scan if it wasn't a great scanner, all I am wanting you to do it scan your best burn with that samsung at 4x

            just a quality scan

I would like to help out but I can't do a Disc Quality scan with the Samsung, it won't allow it.

@ NightTran re: post #40 tried & failed but over in the Nero CD-DVD speed thread it continues & we might not need Watson but it would still be nice to hear from geno.
