why should burn stop exactly at 34%

I was tring to burn 3 avi files into a DVD as data disc using Nero.The 3 files were 1.55GB,1.38GB and 1.39 GB respectively.I failed three times in a row.On all three occasions the burn error came EXACTLY after 34% burn has been completed.I know about cheap media causing these problems,but isn't it uncanny to have three successive burns stop EXACTLY at 34%?Here is the Nero log.

it took 7 minutes so you might have gotten further along, it's not usual to find bad spots in the blanks at the same area in consecutive disks.

I hope you didn't buy a lot of those disks?

Meantime, there is a newer firmware (version US07) for your Samsung TS-H552U burner. Hopefully this new firmware can help you get over the problem with not so good media

well it says it wrote a lead out, but could not perform end of disc at once. Try closing the disc in DvdDecrypter and see if there is anything on it. The key medium errors, do as Chewy says, indicate that the media is of poor quality and suspect in the errors. I would also recomend freeing up some system resources.

Thanks to all for ur insights. I have updated the firmware,but doubt that this will solve the problem.I had tried yesterday with the same media but was trying to burn a different file.In that cast the file size was 2.24GB and the burn went to about 65% before stopping.So it seems that the burn is stopping at around 1500 MB.Is this of any significance to you?
BTW,the media is cheap.But, as I said earlier, isn't it weird that burning should stop at same places always? I will have to try on a RW to solve this out.

try a full format of the rw(mbi) with imgburn?

Tried formatting the MBI RW with Imgburn.Failed. In my country fakes are easier to find than originals!

BTW,the reason I chose cheap media is that earlier my TS-H552U failed to write fully on costlier media from Samsung and Sony.In fact that was the time I first came to this FORUM for help.However the drive did write correctly on some cheaper media and hence gave me a false hope.
