Error While Burning a Copy of a Copy

    Hello everyone!

I've been having a difficult time backing up a copy of this DVD. The DVD has previously been backed up from the original. However, when I tried copying using Nero, I encountered an error. I've also tried using DVD Shrink and an error popped up that stated "Cyclic Redundancy Check." I've also tried using the tips posted here but none has worked thus far. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

seems like a bad burn or a dirty/scratched disc, firmware needs to be updated to 3.20

what media ID did you use on the copy? best to re-rip from the original.

Well, the disc isn't scratched at all and it doesn't appear to be dirty so I am quite puzzled. Should I try using the program "RipIt4Me"?

you can, i don't see the point. this is a copy. you might try lowering the read speed in dvd decrypter and use that but you have way out of date firmware and media which you have not told us the ID type both of which GREATLY can lower the chances of a good burn resulting in an un-copyable disc! my experience from an un-protected copy, if nero can't do it on a clean scratch-free disc, it's a bad burn. throw it in the bush and re-rip the original, why waste time?

Out of date firmware could cause this problem. You need to keep your firmware updated for it to keep up with the newer discs. If that's the problem you will run into more problems in the future.

If it still doesn't work, like LT said, trash it and start over.
