VCR movie wont record to dvd?

Used my Leadtek TV2000 deluxe TV card to record a VHS movie via vcr to my computer. In the leadtek program I selected DVD disc & it recorded in mpeg2 format. If I watch it on computer it replays ok but when I try to burn it with Nero it refuses. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to record it to dvd so I can watch it on my dvd player?
    P.S It is not protected.

Is the converted movie in your PC just plain MPEG-2 (.MPG) file or DVD author files (in VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder)? If it is MPEG-2 file, you need to author DVD qith author program such as TMPGEnc DVD Author or DVD-Lab Pro

lordsmurf has an EXCELLENT tutorial on his site - I was successful on my first try, even with a crappy original tape. But I was lucky to have the exact equipment he recommends: an ATI AIW card & a JVC flying-erase SVHS.

There's no authoring files ,just the single icon which says mpeg2.The sound files are included all in one.Can I author the mpeg file or do I have to start again from the vcr movie?
Thank's to you blokes for the ideas, by the way.
p.s That Digitalfaqs site does have alot of info on it!
