    Info on the Verbatims.

    Staples, Verbatim DVD+/-R, 4.7GB, 16X, 50 pack spindle, $16.98.

    Now I am not recommending these one way or the other, just passing along information. FutureShop, FujiFilm DVD+R Dual Layer 15 pack, $24.99.

              haven't opened them yet but these might be TYG02. how do these compare to the G03's and why are these dubbed "value line" btw?

                value line is not guarantee T02 only could have some T03 or all T03, premium is the one for sure T02

                  LT,
                  The current batch lot tends to be more TYG02 code than TYG03 code
                  .

                  the tyg02's are usually better than the tyg03's, the 02's are older stock?

                  value line can be as good as premium if the same mid, but is subject to damage from mishandling

                      i see. i guess it could be older stock. i have about 9 left from the last batch of g03 i gotta use yet which have been great. the packaging is excellent too. shrink wrapped, bubble wrapped, wrapped in cardbard paper and boxed and taped. took me 10 minutes to get a bloody disc!

                      and i can't think about 16X media with my old pioneer burner (which is what i mostly use now)

                        I think the verb and the tyg03's are about equal on average, I have seen good scans with good batches of both. Bad scans too.

                        @LT,
                        open them up some time and compare to the first batch, googling the batch number is informative too.

                        if you run into a real good batch of TYG02's, hoard them and use appropriately
