HELP PLEASE.....burner will not read dvd disc

I put a movie in (The Butterfly Effect Directors Cut) and nothing shows up. There usually is a window that pops up and says What do you want Windows to do and it gives you selections that it detected a dvd file.......this has happened only once before. I've watched a lot of movies on my computer and there has never been any problems. The last time that it happened i tried the movie on a different computer and it was fine. I also tried updating my firmware but to no avail. HELP PLEASE!!!

the disc work in dvd players, and i tried cleaning, rebooting, and restore. after last post the disc was recognized but as soon as i started dvd43, dvd43 froze and i had to manually restart my pc. even after ejecting the disc. this happened twice.

you just uninstall it from device manager and reboot, sometimes works, worth a try, safe. can't hurt, windows get confused every now and then, when it gets bad tho, my computer and device manager will lose the drives all on their own.

I too would take Chewy's and daman's advice and get rid of DVD43, as it does conflict with many things. Then if I still had problems, I would try the uninstall, with DVD43 gone from my computer.

You could try RipIt4Me as an alternative ripping method.
