Any Ideas on this problem anyone?
I have been using Memorex discs for over a year and always had good luck with them. I opened a new pack the other day and tried to back up the movie RV. Everything went fine dvdd said "operation completed successfully" and as soon as I clicked "ok" an error message came up saying "could not retrieve TOC. I tried again with the same results. I tried another movie with the same results..So I figure I have a bad batch of dvds. I return them, and get another pack (of memorex) and this is like a month later. I try again with the same results..Thinking it might be my burner, I used my sons computer and when dvdd opens to burn, I get an error code saying it cant read the disc key..It wont even let me burn it on my sons computer. And I bring it to my computer and dvdd reads the disc and is ready to burn, but I know the end result will be "failure to retrieve TOC" again.. Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance

when you open dvdd, it tells you what burner and firmware you are using,
that's the information we need to help you, without it we can't even guess
put a blank in the burner
go to mode, iso/write, the top right screen will have this information

I put one in and I dont know if it is because it has been written to, but I cant get any info on the disc no matter what mode I put dvdd in. They are the same brand (memorex) but I know that doesnt necessarily mean they were made by the same people..Comment

I cant figure it out..dvdd will read the unburned disc and give me the info, but it wont read the burned one. And it was a good burn. Why do I always get problems that dont make any sense? lol Thanks for reading this and lending your expertise chewy...Comment

Well i've been ripping quite a few dvds and the 2 weeks ago, i experienced a dvd that my computer would not read AT ALL. I heard the buzzing and then it stopped, i opened my computer and dvdd and nothing was there. Then i just burned it on my cousins comp. Then i get 3 more dvds this week that it wouldn't read. V for Vendetta,Butterfly Effect Directors Cut and a few wrestling dvds wouldn't be read.Comment
